British members of parliament are holding a debate on whether or not to have a snap election in June.
British Prime Minister Therasa May called for an early election on Tuesday, saying it will guarantee successful Brexit talks and promote long-term stability.
May requires approval from two-thirds of seats from the lower House of Commons to hold the election.
If the snap-election goes ahead, parliament would be dissolved starting May 3.
Britain's next election was previously scheduled for May 2020.
