Facebook Data Scandal: Facebook Chief Mark Zuckerberg apologizes in UK newspapers
[]
Mark Zuckerberg has issued an apology in British newspapers for allowing the harvesting of data from millions of Facebook users.
The apology comes amid renewed media attention on the use of information from 50 million Facebook users by the political consultancy Cambridge Analytica and its parent company SCL. Cambridge Analytica used data in its campaigning for Ted Cruz, Ben Carson and Donald Trump in the 2016 US presidential election. It also played a role in the Brexit campaign. Facebook now faces government investigations in Europe and the US.
