Seven killed, three injured after crane accident in S China

At least seven people were killed and three others wounded when a large crane arm smashed into a car in southern China's Guangdong Province on Tuesday afternoon, according to CCTV reporters, citing the local information office.
The incident happened at around 18:00 p.m. local time in Puning, a county-level city of Jieyang city, after a large working crane overturned and its arm hit a passing car.

The seven died at the scene. Three injured people, some of whom are thought to be children, were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Local authorities dispatched ambulances, police and fire forces to the scene.
The local government immediately deployed a joint emergency response team to conduct rescue operations, and ordered relevant departments to handle the aftermath of the incident.
