The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) on Sunday proposed Ri Son Gwon, the head of the country's agency handling inter-Korean affairs, as chief delegate to Tuesday's talks with South Korea, according to Yonhap news agency.
The news came one day after South Korea's unification ministry said that it had sent the list of a five-member delegation led by Unification Minister Cho Myoung-gyon to the DPRK.

In response, the DPRK said it will send a five-member delegation led by Ri, who is chairman of the country's Committee for Peaceful Reunification, a state agency in charge of inter-Korean affairs.
There has been no confirmation from the DPRK authority.
On Friday, the two Koreas agreed to hold high-level talks on next Tuesday at the truce village of Panmunjom to discuss Pyongyang's possible participation in the PyeongChang Winter Olympics in February.
