Giant pandas are trying to beat the heat
[]
Giant pandas are escaping the scorching summer heat by playing with ice in southwest China's Sichuan Province.
Recently the province has been reaching dog days or Sanfu period of summer which refers to summer's hottest and most sultry days.
Over 30 giant pandas are now living in a three-star standard environmental panda house, the design of which can effectively insulate heat and adjust temperatures. When indoor temperatures exceeded 25 degrees Celsius, the base will launch a series of measures to prevent heatstrokes like spraying water on the outer walls of the panda house and outdoor playground, as well as setting ice blocks in their rooms to reduce heat.
