The European Union is planning to speed up how it moves its military personnel and equipment. The bloc wants to be prepared for challenges and to prevent crises. It's part of the EU's efforts to work better with NATO, which has its own standards for military-strength bridges, roads, and tunnels. Conflicting regulations across European countries, inadequate infrastructure and restrictions on US troop transfers hinder NATO from quickly deploying its forces. The plan will now go to individual EU governments and the European Parliament for discussion.
