The last day of the 2017 FINA World Championships marked an overall 30 medal win for China on Sunday.
China finished the competition with 12 golds, 12 silvers and 6 bronzes while the US grabbed 21 golds, 12 silvers and 13 bronzes to top of the world's overall medal achieving.

In a nine-day race starting from 14, the Chinese diving team won a total of 8 golds in the 8 events including mixed 10m platform, men's 1m platform, women's synchronized diving from 10m platform, men's synchronized diving from 10m platform, men's 3m springboard, women's 3m springboard event and mixed doubles' 3m springboard.

Beginning on July 23, Backstroker Xu Jiayu won the first gold with his 52.44, which made him the first Chinese man ever to win a gold medal in the men's 100m back final at the World Championships.

Sun Yang won the gold in the men's 400 freestyle, pulling away from rival Mack Horton of Australia and collected another gold for China in men's 200m freestyle.
The last day of 17th FINA World Championships ended with the US breaking the previous record of three minutes 52.05 seconds set by the American women's 4x100 meters medley relay at the London 2012 Olympics.
