Modi in the Middle East: Indian prime minister visits UAE to boost bilateral ties

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the United Arab Emirates on Saturday, for a two-day visit to the Gulf Arab state.
During Modi's visit, about 12 to 14 agreements and Memorandums of Understanding, are expected to be signed. The agreements focus on energy and labor. Modi will also address the 2018 World Government Summit in Dubai later on Sunday. There are 9 million Indians living in the Gulf region and are said to remit an estimated 35 billion US dollars home each year. The UAE committed to an investment of 75 billion US dollars in India, when Modi visited in 2015.
