China is promoting Chinese language learning among students by introducing more creative methods, and the core of it is to raise younger generation's interest in the language itself. Ning Hong has more.

China is putting more stress on language education, including increasing the time of reading class among junior middle school students.

In recent years, events and TV shows promoting traditional Chinese culture, including poem reading and Chinese character contests have grown in popularity among the younger generation, who were once thought to be losing interest in traditional culture.
