At least 18 civilians were killed and over 20 people injured after the US-led coalition airstrikes shelled a town in the eastern Syria's province of Deir al-Zour, reported Syrian Arab News Agency.

The airstrikes have caused material damage to houses and infrastructure.

According to the reports, more civilians were killed and others injured due to raids carried out by the coalition targeting villages in southern Deir al-Zour.
