National Basketball Association: Toronto 108 - Houston 105
[]
We bounce along to the NBA, and a match-up of conference leaders, as the Houston Rockets took a 17-game winstreak north of the border to Toronto. The Raptors and All-Star Kyle Lowry, are no slouches either, winning six straight and trailed H-town by just three games for the best record overall in the NBA, and even won the first meeting between the teams earlier this season. You know it's a big game in the T-Dot, when Raptors ambassador Drake is in da house.
Lowry helps the Dinos grab the early lead, the Raps point guard scoring 13 in the opening Q. And finishes with 30.  Toronto holding Houston to a season low 16 points in the first period -- the Rockets 1-of-12 from beyond the arc at one point.
Things turn around in the second half as James Harden starts to get hot.  The Beard pouring in 13 in the Q as H-town clawback from the earlier deficit.
Fast forward to the fourth, and Harden with Fred Van Fleet all over him hits a stepback three, tying things at 102. He would have a game-high 40.
The Drakes other All-Star, DeMar DeRozan, clutches up and hits the tough turnaround to put the hosts in front by a deuce.  Chris Paul has a chance to put the visitors back on top, but misses the triple from the corner. Lowry gets the rebound, and makes his free throws.
Four-point game with seconds to play, and Houston makes it a 1-point game, Eric Gordon fakes, takes, and makes the triple. 106-105.
T-O, hits more free-throws, and the Rockets have a chance to tie at the buzzer, but Harden is pressured and is off the mark. The Raptors hold on for a 108-105 win, snapping H-town's 17-game run, and extending their own to 7.
In other games, Indy routed Atlanta 112-87. New Orleans sees their 10-game winstreak halted after a loss to Washington. The Pelicans playing without Anthony Davis. Milwaukee gets past New York. Utah hands Memphis their 16th straight loss. Portland snaps Golden State's 7-game run with a 125-108 win. Damian Lillard had 30 in the win. The Clippers hold off Cleveland. That means the Clipps move into 8th and final playoff spot in the West, holding the tiebreaker over Utah and Denver.
