China is "deeply concerned" over intensifying tensions on the Korean Peninsula. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lu Kang made the remarks Monday at a regular press conference when asked to comment on the DPRK's announcement on Sunday that the country is ready to launch an inter-continental ballistic missile "anytime and anywhere.” Lu said China will pay close attention to developments in the region and make efforts to maintain peace and stability.
