Zhang Mingshuai is a food delivery man who recently has become an online celebrity for wearing a bamboo hat with a black veil, even when delivering food on hot days in Chengdu, southwest China’s Sichuan Province.

The 26-year-old man was burned when he was young. It left him with a facial scar. Because of the scar, he was refused by employers hundreds of times. Finally he left his hometown of Wenshui, Shanxi Province, and has been working as a delivery man in Chengdu for three months.

Zhang told a Chengdu Huaxi Daily reporter that the recent hot weather has brought many requests for deliveries. So he prepared a hat to keep the sun from burning his face. And he also liked that helps prevent customers from seeing his face, especially the female ones.
