A close confidant of Benjamin Netanyahu has agreed to give evidence to incriminate the prime minister in a corruption scandal. According to Israeli media, Communications Ministry Director General Shlomo Filber signed a deal Tuesday night to incriminate Netanyahu in exchange for a lighter sentence.
Filber, along with Netanyahu and another associate have been accused of bribery. It's alleged they promoted certain media regulations in exchange for favorable news coverage of the prime minister. Also Tuesday night, Netanyahu released a video online once again firmly denying any wrongdoing.
