Clashes broke out Friday in Gaza as Hundreds of Palestinians across the region began their Land Day protest in an event dubbed "The Great March of Return". Palestinian authorities said at least two Palestinians were killed and more than 50 wounded by Israeli gunfire in Gaza. Demonstrators are calling for the right for Palestinian refugees to return home in Israeli-occupied territories. The protest is scheduled to remain for six weeks, leading up to the opening of a US embassy in Jerusalem around May 14th.
