Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan welcomed US President Donald Trump and his wife Melania at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Wednesday at the beginning of the US leader’s first state visit to China. Xi held a welcome ceremony on Thursday where the two leaders watched a performance of the Zenghouyi Bells, an ancient Chinese musical instrument. It was buried in a tomb for over 2,400 years.
