Chinese President Xi Jinping, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said on Friday that the purpose of building a community with a shared future for mankind is to connect the prospects and destinies and to create a harmonious global family.
He made the remarks at the opening ceremony of the Communist Party of China (CPC) in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-level Meeting.
World's party leaders at the meeting spoke highly of Xi’s strong leadership, saying that the achievements in the last five years would not have been possible without the remarkable work of the CPC.
They express the belief that the meeting is a unique opportunity for countries and parties across the world to come together.

"I think it was a very good speech, I think it was a challenging speech. I think he is taking a very brave step, trying to lead the world to think about global challenges and cooperative manner," said Nigel Haworth, President of New Zealand Labor Party.
"And he is posing the possibility of a different way, of moving forward, a way based on collaboration, on cooperation, a difficult way, making cooperation work is difficult, but he thinks that is a better way for mankind. I think we all share that view," he added.
"There are very few such good initiatives for all political parties across the world to work together. I think that China is the only place where this can happen. I believe this meeting in Beijing is so important, this is a unique opportunity for countries and parties across the world to come together. And we will use this opportunity," said Marko Đurić, vice president of Serbian Progressive Party.
