Myanmar's government has stepped up a public awareness campaign about the "swine flu" virus, as the death toll from a recent outbreak reached 27.
According to the country’s Ministry of Health and Sports, the number of infected patients has been on the rise with 277 cases confirmed since last month.
The outbreak has spread to 12 of Myanmar's 14 states, with Yangon, the country's biggest city, the most severely affected area.
Government officials said they are taking additional measures to prevent the disease and treat patients.
