International Olympic Committee President Thomas Bach says he will visit the Democratic People's Republic of Korea after the Pyeongchang Winter Games. He was invited by the DPRK, as part of a deal reached by the IOC, Pyongyang, and Seoul. Both the DPRK and South Korea marched under a unified Korean flag at the Olympics opening ceremony, and fielded a joint women's ice hockey team. In his opening speech, Bach stressed the Games can send a "powerful message of peace to the world."
