Time now for Asia Focus. South Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea have started discussing plans for their summit later this month. The two sides will review security, protocol, and media coverage.
The meeting was held on the South Korean side of the border village, Panmunjom. The talks were initially scheduled for Wednesday, but the DPRK asked for them to be postponed by a day. The first summit between South Korean President, Moon Jae-in, and DPRK leader, Kim Jong Un, is scheduled for the 27th at Panmunjom's Peace House. If held, Kim will become the first DPRK leader to step onto South Korean soil since the end of the Korean War.
