Yemen Conflict: Saudi-led coalition gives evidence of Iran trafficking weapons to Yemen
[]
The Saudi-led coalition fighting a war in Yemen has displayed what it says is evidence that Iran is supplying weapons to the Houthi-led authorities in the capital Sanaa. The Saudi spokesperson for the coalition, Turki al-Malki, said an Iranian-made missile with Persian writing was confiscated in Yemen. He said a shipment of missiles from Iran was seized before they were used by by Houthi fighters. Malki also said Saudi air defences intercepted seven ballistic missiles launched by the Houthis on the third anniversary of the Saudi-led war. One person was killed and two wounded in Riyadh, possibly by falling debris from a destroyed missile, or by a malfunctioning Patriot missile fired by the Saudi military.
