China says it will support South Sudan in its preparations for a possible outbreak of Ebola. Beijing says a team of experts with experience in handling cases of the deadly virus is expected in South Sudan next month to help the country's health ministry. China's ambassador to South Sudan touring an Ebola centre in Juba. He says Beijing will play a role in South Sudan's efforts to prepare in case of an ebola outbreak in the country.

The World Health Organisation, The International Medical Corps and South Sudan's Health Ministry have put together an Ebola treatment centre in Juba. China says its team that worked on the Ebola outbreak in West Africa will travel to South Sudan in August.

Ebola cases are now confirmed in Aliwara in Democratic Republic of Congo, 70 kilometres from South Sudan's border.
