In the report delivered at the opening session of the 19th CPC National Congress, General Secretary Xi Jinping said the government will put more efforts improving the environment, and building a "Beautiful China".
The concept was first mentioned in 2012 when the country was faced with a series of environmental problems. Achieving the "Beautiful China" includes a set of reforms to develop an "ecological civilization".
Xi said reforms will speed up, and he brought up four key points during his work report: to promote green development, solve prominent environmental problems, intensify the protection of ecosystems, and reform the environmental regulatory system.
According to Xi, the "Beautiful China" will be attained by 2035.
