Iraqi army: Battle to retake Mosul set to end soon

The Iraqi military has said the battle to take full control of Mosul from ISIL is expected to end in just a few days.
ISIL militants last week destroyed the city's historic Grand al-Nuri Mosque, while Iraqi troops captured the neighborhood of a main street bisecting the Old City.
“(Iraqi authorities) are confident to tell the press publicly they are so close to take control. They may lose territory, but they are not defeated,” said CGTN’s Toby Muse.
According to Muse, around 50,000 civilians remain trapped in Mosul's Old City.
