Beijing has urged Washington and Pyongyang to accumulate trust, and cherish diplomacy, as the fall-out from the DPRK's threat to withdraw from peace talks intensifies. Earlier today, the US Senator Rand Paul said, reports that the USDPRK summit might be cancelled were being "over-read".
LU KANG SPOKESPERSON, CHINESE FOREIGN MINISTRY "China has consistently advocated that all parties concerned should solve the Korean Peninsula issue through dialogue and consultation. And the concerns of all parties should be balanced. They include the legitimate security concerns of the DPRK. Senator Paul said that he is optimistic about the DPRK-US summit. We also hope both parties will seize the opportunity and work hard to build mutual trust and initiate dialogues to push for long-term stability and denuclearization on the peninsula."
