‍A spokesman for the Korea Asia-Pacific Peace Committee (KAPPC) issued a statement on Tuesday, rejecting UN sanctions against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK), the country's KCNA news agency reported.
The statement said the latest raft of UN sanctions, approved in response to Pyongyang's ongoing nuclear program, were the "outcome of the horror and uneasiness of the US."
It called on all countries to stand against the practices of the US.
"We totally and resolutely reject the recent sanctions resolution, cooked up by the gangster-like US imperialists in collusion with its blind followers, as hideous terrorism against the dignified DPRK," the statement said.
The DPRK condemned the UN sanctions on Monday, saying it would not negotiate over its nuclear arms while it was threatened by the US.
The UN Security Council on Saturday unanimously adopted new sanctions on the DPRK in response to its recent missile tests.
It bans the exports of seafood and minerals such as coal, iron, iron ore, lead and lead ore.
