​China-Russia Relations: Russian President Putin to meet with Chinese President Xi

Russian President Vladimir Putin is set to attend the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Summit in Qingdao later this week. It will be part of Putin's first state visit to China since he started his new term in office.  It will also mark the first meeting between the leaders of China and Russia this year.
The Chinese Foreign Ministry has briefed the media on possible agendas. The two leaders will hold talks, meet the press, and attend ceremonies and banquets. Their topics of discussion will cover bilateral relations, cooperation in major fields, and international and regional issues. Documents and cooperative agreements are expected to be signed in various fields.
