Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi met his Singaporean counterpart Vivian Balakrishnan in Beijing on Sunday. Wang applauded Singapore's role in promoting regional connectivity and good China-Singapore ties. Balakrishnan said it has been 40 years since the late Chinese leader Deng Xiaoping visited Singapore, and the two countries have since enjoyed strong relations.
