One Chinese dies, 12 injured after tourist bus overturns in Iceland

At least one Chinese passenger died and over 10 others were injured after a tour bus overturned in Iceland on Wednesday, the Chinese embassy said.
The accident took place at around 11 a.m. local time when the bus, with more than 40 Chinese tourists on board, was travelling near Kirkjubaejarklaustur, 250 km south of the Reykjavik, a statement by the embassy said.
It skidded off the road before colliding with a car, the Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Management of Iceland said on its Facebook account.
Twelve injured people were taken to a hospital in Reykjavik.
The bus was carrying 44 foreign tourists as well as a tour guide and driver, the department said.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
