Chinese President Xi Jinping, also General Secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, said Friday that the CPC will neither "import" foreign models of development, nor "export" the Chinese model and ask other countries to "copy" the Chinese practice.
"China is not seeking hegemony or global expansion, but to be the builder of world peace and the defender of the international order," Xi said.
Xi made the remarks while addressing the opening ceremony of CPC in Dialogue with World Political Parties High-level Meeting, which is being held in Beijing from Thursday to Sunday.
Xi said the CPC will continue to contribute to world peace, stability and development, while calling for joint efforts to create a better world.

The initiative of building a community with a shared future for mankind is being transformed from a concept into action, Xi said.
The concept, which was put forth by Xi in 2013 has also offered inspiration to a world beset by rising challenges. For example, it was written into resolutions of the United Nations General Assembly on the prevention of an arms race in outer space.
"The Belt and Road Initiative is the practice of the concept," Xi said, adding the Belt and Road has become a huge cooperation platform for countries concerned to realize their common development.
Proposed by Xi in 2013, the Belt and Road Initiative aims to build trade and infrastructure networks connecting Asia with Europe and Africa via land and maritime routes.
In his speech, Xi said building a community with a shared future for mankind is in essence to connect the prospects and destinies of every nation and country closely together, share weal and woe, and turn planet Earth into a harmonious family.
A new model of party-to-party relations
Facing increasingly complicated and integrated threats, Xi also called on to establish a new party relationship and build a multi-level communication network for political parties in various countries.
The new model of party-to-party relations will help parties to seek common grounds while shelving differences, respect and learn from one another, according to Xi.
CPC is willing to carry out dialogues, exchanges and cooperation with peoples and political parties of other countries, Xi said, adding that in the next five years, the CPC will invite 15,000 members of foreign political parties to China for exchanges.
He further suggested setting up a mechanism for this high-level dialogue, and make it an influential one in international platform.

Xi also emphasized China's continuous contribution to world peace and development.
China will actively participate in the reform of global governance and promoting the international political and economic order in a fair and reasonable direction, Xi noted.
China is now actively participating in the UN world peacekeeping program, with more than 36,000 personnel dispatched. A total of 2,506 Chinese peacekeepers are currently on UN missions in eight locations around the world.
For a long time, the CPC has been in regular contact with over 400 political parties and political organizations from more than 160 countries and regions and this "circle of friends" is developing continuously, Xi said.
Leaders from over 200 parties and political organizations from more than 120 countries have gathered in the Chinese capital for the event, which is under the theme "Working together towards a community with a shared future for mankind and a better world: Responsibilities of political parties."
