China's Long March-5 Y2 carrier rocket is scheduled to take off on Sunday from the Wenchang Space Launch Center in southern Hainan Province, according to the State Administration of Science, Technology and Industry for National Defense and China National Space Administration.
The process of filling propellant into fuel tanks has started on Saturday afternoon. The Long March-5 is designed to lift space station components, deep-space probes and communication satellites into orbit.
The rocket is carrying the Shijian-18 satellite, which will conduct a number of experiments in the Earth's orbit.
