Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday called for deeper military-civilian integration in the new era.
Xi, also general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and chairman of the Central Military Commission, made the remarks while presiding over a plenary session of the central commission for integrated military and civilian development, which he heads.
The meeting stressed several key parts to this type of integrated strategy: advanced infrastructure construction, resources coordination, military technology, the cultivation of military talent, logistics, and the modernization of the military defense.
The meeting also pointed out that all work this year should make the focal points stand out and have the courage to overcome difficulties.
