Films produced in India have been doing solid business at the Chinese box office for some time.
With the Indian film industry – often popularly nicknamed Bollywood – making more than a thousand films every year, China has become an important export market.
And now, big budget Indian films are being made specifically with the Chinese market in mind and often featuring Chinese performers.
