Hundreds of birds were spotted flying over the Barkol wetlands in Hami City in northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. The flocks of migratory birds were a spectacular sight, flying overhead and making formations. In the last few years, the local government has implemented projects to protect and restore the local ecosystem.
