The bulk of construction was completed of a bridge in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality on Saturday. Its eventual opening will save two thirds of travel time between Hubei Province and the city of Chongqing. The Longju Bridge is a rigid frame bridge, crossing one of China's largest single spans. It is an important part of the Wanzhou to Lichuan Expressway which will connect Chongqing and Lichuan of central China's Hubei Province. Upon completion later this year, travel times between Wanzhou to Lichuan will be cut from 3.5 hours to one hour.
