A Chinese telecom equipment maker says it's not involved in any kind of high-tech monkey business in the United States. ZTE said Thursday that it's proud of the innovation and security of its products in the American market.
ZTE also said it takes cyber-security and privacy seriously and is a trusted partner of U.S. customers. ZTE spoke out after a number of U.S. senators and intelligence officials warned on Tuesday that China is trying to access sensitive U.S. technologies and intellectual properties through telecoms, academia and joint business ventures.
