We've asked some domestic buyers and distributors for their thoughts on China's market and this week's CIIE. For today’s program we have the vice president of Alibaba Group, the supply chain manager of Orient International, and chairman assistant of Sino-US helicopter investment.
GAO HONGBING VICE PRESIDENT OF ALIBABA GROUP "The most significant value of the CIIE is sending a signal to the market that China strongly supports and promotes import. This signal will make the wholesalers, retailers, and brand marketers feel secure and further boost their business to Chinese market on the e-commerce platform."
ZHU JIDONG SUPPLY CHAIN DIRECTOR OF ORIENT INTERNATIONAL "We're planning to buy some medical equipment and some traditional consumer goods like food and milk powder. We set a purchase target at about 3-4 billion RMB."
ZHANG RONGYUAN SINO-US HELICOPTER INVESTMENT CO. LTD "Before the expo starts, there were already 5 to 8 Chinese companies that approached us with an intention to purchase the Italian made helicopter. It is the most expensive exhibit on this year's Import Expo, with a price of 28 million US dollars. Hopefully, we can reach deals on the expo."
