US Politics: White House: Top communications aide resigns

The White House says one of President Trump's most trusted aides, Hope Hicks, has resigned as White House communications director.
Her resignation comes after she spent hours in a closed hearing with the House Intelligence Committee, which is looking into Russian meddling during the 2016 election. Hicks used to work for the president's daughter Ivanka Trump, and had no previous experience in politics before joining Trump's presidential campaign.
