Afghanistan Unrest: Air force raid kills 18 Taliban officers, wounds 12

Afghanistan's Air Force says it launched an attack that killed 18 Taliban officers and wounded a dozen others. The Afghan Ministry of Defense says it targeted a meeting on Monday in the Taliban-held northern province of Kunduz. The military says it launched the pre-emptive airstrike after receiving a tip the militants were planning an attack afterwards. The UN Mission is investigating.
