Yan Han, who won gold in the Winter Youth Games is making his second Olympic appearance, and will participate in the team event. The other notable male Chinese skater, Jin Boyang arrives Monday.
"It is our first training session. Everyone's performance is not too bad since they got up at five o'clock yesterday morning, and it took 11 hours to get here, so they felt a little tired. But on the whole, they performed well," Zhao Hongbo, the China’s figure skating coach said.
In short track, 1,500 meter Sochi silver medalist Han Tianyu arrived in PyeongChang on Tuesday. The medal hopeful was a late arrival in South Korea due to a re-occurring back injury he suffered in training in Shanghai.
After Han got treatment in Beijing, he said he is recovered and looking forward to competing.

The men's squad held two training sessions on Wednesday. The team is in good spirits, especially veterans like Han, Wu Dajing, and Chen De, who are competing at their second Games. After training, Han worked on his starts with the Polish women's team. The 21-year-old is expected to race in the 1500 and 500 meter races.
Over to bobsled, the Chinese squad, which is making its Games debut, got their first up close look at the track in PyeongChang. The site held a world cup event last year, but the Chinese did not take part, so they need to get accustomed to the settings quickly.
China will have three squads competing, a 2-man team, and two four-man squads. On this day, Shao Yijun, Li Chunjian and Jin Jian would take to the track to get used to the intricacies of the course.
