Ran Wanxiang, Vice Minister of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, has stressed the importance of increased cooperation between the CPC and the country's non-Communist political parties. Ran said the system of multiparty cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the CPC has greatly contributed to China’s stability and solidarity, as well as its economic and social development.
