We begin in Beijing where the first session of the 13th National People's Congress concluded on Tuesday.

Chinese President Xi Jinping delivered a speech at the closing meeting, and signed an official order to put the new supervision law into effect. During the meeting, NPC deputies approved the supervision law and resolutions on the government work report. They also approved the work reports of the 12th NPC Standing Committee, the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang gave a press conference after the session.
