Beijing-Xiong'an intercity railway line has opened after almost three years of construction. It brings not just fast speed for commuting but also future business opportunities between Beijing and the green, clean and convenient Xiong'an New Area -- southwest of the nation's capital.

ZHENG YIBING Beijing-Xiong'an Intercity Railway "The line is 91 kilometers long. From today, up to 17 pairs of high-speed trains will be running on this line every day, carrying more than 600 passengers in a single trip."

Maximum speed is 300 kilometers per hour meaning the journey should take less than 50 minutes. Like other fast-speed trains in China, the riding experience is quiet, smooth and comfortable.
