Now, for our Asia Focus segment. Today we continue our special coverage on the aftermath of the US invasion of Iraq.
Iraq's electoral commission announced parliamentary elections will be held on May 12th. The new parliament will select the country's Prime Minister. It is still not clear if Kurdish parties will join elections this time, following their independence push last year. Iraq's constitution says parliamentary elections should be held within 45 days of the end of the current legislative term.
