CPC General Secretary and Chinese President Xi Jinping has hailed the importance of Marxist ideas. He urged CPC members to continue learning and practicing Marxist thoughts.

Xi said CPC party members should study and practice Marxist thought on the law of the development of human society, and be dedicated to communism. He said CPC members should uphold a people-centered philosophy, respect the dominance of the people, unite and lead the people to create a historic course. Xi said CPC members should also study productive forces and relations of production. And on the people's democracy, Xi said state organs are public servants under the supervision of people. He also calls on CPC members to study and practice Marxist ideas on cultural development, social construction, relations between humans and nature, world history, and the building of the party. He laid out the goal of a vibrant Marxist ruling party that's ahead of its time, with the people's support.
