US Tariffs: Protectionist policies hit global industry chain

The Chinese Ministry of Commerce says US protectionism is hitting global industry and value chains. A ministry spokesperson said many Chinese exports are produced by foreign-invested companies in China.
On the proposed list of targeted Chinese products worth 34 billion dollars, about 20 billion, or 60% of the exports, are produced by foreign-invested companies and much of this foreign investment comes from the United States. Businesses and trade organizations have expressed concern.
