Expert: China’s transparent policy on the Arctic

The first White Paper on China's Arctic Policy has been released by high-level diplomats here in China today. Cui Hongjian, the Director of European Studies at the China Institute of International Studies told CGTN in an exclusive after the press conference.
There has been some western media doubt about China’s strategic intent on the Arctic. Cui emphasized that the first White Paper on China's Arctic Policy demonstrates China's transparency in Arctic policy. He emphasized that China’s involvement in Arctic affairs is contribution-oriented, not interest-oriented.
