Over 68 million Chinese people have been lifted out of poverty in the past five years and Chinese people’s living standards have been continuously improving. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang said this Monday when delivering an annual government work report to lawmakers at the opening meeting of the first session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC), China’s national legislature.‍
