At least 10 people have been killed and a further 92 are missing in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo after torrential rain caused serious flooding, a local official said on Wednesday.

Administrator of Masisi territory in eastern North Kivu province, Dieudonne Tshishiku, said emergency teams had been dispatched to the town of Bihambwe to search for missing persons.
