With the US-DPRK talks inching closer to reality, CGTN reporters hit the streets in five countries to find out what people think about it.
"I think denuclearization is the best thing for the DPRK, China, and the world. It's what everyone wants. The danger of nuclear weapons is way too big for the rest of the world."
"I think it should have good results. Because it's a good thing for the whole world, very good. I support both sides."
"I hope good things get better and we don't want to have nuclear on our heads."
"I'm glad. But I'm not sure that there is a big outcome of this."
"The summit between North Korea and South Korea was also positive so I expect the North Korea-US talks will also be positive."
"I personally think it's a good thing. It should have happened earlier, but now I think something good will happen. I hope we will be unified. It hasn't happened so I don't know for sure, but I hope so."
"I think that's very good because North Korea is finally taking some steps to regulate relations at the international scene. The more those steps are taken towards the meeting, the more peaceful the world will be."
"Trump is scaring North Korea all the time, and his forces are all there in combat readiness. I think that they can get along, although I don't think that it all depends on Trump."
"I think it might be a fifty-fifty chance of progress. If North Korea does not lie and Kim Jong Un really wants to denuclearize from his heart, things will go well. But if they continue to place their military as a priority we might be fooled again."
"I think there might be some development. I believe something might come out from the meeting. I think Japan should not be too agitated. This issue will take time and if you get too agitated you might make a wrong move and fail."
